Crackers
Ingredients
makes ~50 crackers
- 185g plain flour
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- 30g nutritional yeast (optional)
- 2 teaspoons Italian herbs
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper (optional)
- 115ml water
- ½ tbsp olive oil
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C. Line two large baking trays with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, add the flour, baking powder, nutritional yeast, herbs, salt, garlic powder and black pepper. Mix well to combine. Add the water and olive oil and mix until a dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Roll out as thin as possible (about 2mm thick).
- Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into a grid pattern. Transfer each cracker to the baking trays, leaving space intebween the crackers. Use a fork to prick each cracker 3 times.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the crackers are golden brown around the edges. Let cool completely in the tray. Store in an air-tight container for up to 1 week.
