Harissa paste
Ingredients
makes 2-3 tbsp
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1½ tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp fine sea salt
- 15ml lemon juice
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1½ tsp tomato paste
- 30ml olive oil
Directions
- Combine the tomato paste, minced garlic, chilli, cumin, coriander, smoked paprika and salt, and mix. Then add lemon juice and vinegar and mix again until a paste is formed.
- Add the olive oil, a little at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
- Store in an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use.
