Sesame, ginger and lime stir fry sauce

Ingredients

serves 2
  • 4 tbsp reduced sodium soy sauce
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • 1 tsp honey or hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger, grated, or 1 tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp chilli powder, optional
  • 125ml water
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • Handful of fresh coriander, chopped

Directions

  1. In a small jug, mix all the ingredients together except the cornflour, sesame seeds and coriander. Stir in the cornflour until dissolved.
  2. Add to the stir fry and cook on a medium-high heat until the sauce thickens. Stir in the coriander and sesame seeds, with extra for garnish.
