Sourdough crackers

Ingredients

  • 200g discarded sourdough starter
  • 1½ tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ tsp fine sea salt
  • 2 tsp dried herbs (Italian style)
  • ¼ tsp sea salt for sprinkling

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, add the sourdough discard, oil, dried herbs and salt and mix thoroughly until well combined. Use a spatula to spread the mixture in a thin, even layer onto the parchment paper. Sprinkle the top with salt.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and score the crackers with a pizza cutter. Bake for an additional 15-30 minutes or until the crackers are golden brown. Let cool completely before breaking into squares.
