Banana chocolate hazelnut muffins

Ingredients

makes 12
  • 2 overripe bananas
  • 80ml vegetable oil
  • 75g soft brown sugar
  • 100ml non-dairy milk
  • 225g self-raising flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 6 tsp chocolate hazelnut spread

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 180°C. Line a muffin tin with cases.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas, then add the oil, milk and sugar and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and cinnamon and nutmeg. Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and mix well. 
  4. Spoon into the muffin cases to fill each one halfway. Spoon ½ tsp chocolate hazelnut spread into the centre of each muffin. Cover with the remaining mixture. Bake for 20 minutes, until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
