Black bean brownies

Ingredients

makes 8-10
  • 1 400g can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 10g cocoa powder
  • 40g oats
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • 75g honey
  • 40g vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 80g dark chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Prepare a 8x6 baking tin with baking paper.
  2. Combine all ingredients except the chocolate chips in a food processor, and blend well until completely smooth.
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips, then pour into the tin. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips over the top if desired. Bake for 18 minutes, then let cool at least 10 minutes before slicing. For firmer brownies, store in the fridge overnight.
