Chocolate banana bread buns

Ingredients

makes 9-10 buns
  • 230g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 60g brown sugar
  • 80g chocolate, chopped
  • 4 tbsp soya milk

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C. Prepare a large baking tray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, mash the banana. Add the sugar and soya milk and mix well.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and mix until a slightly sticky dough forms. Add a few more tbsp milk as needed. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Spoon a tbsp of dough onto the tray and flatten slightly. Bake for 15-17 minutes until golden.
